Photo and text: Vebjørn KarlsenThis is a Amphipoda, living in saltwater, sometimes together with jellyfishes and are very small from 2 to 60 mm. You can find them at the shallow water by just picking up a stone at the beach and look but also down to the really great depth beyond diving depths. The eat mostly dead organic parts and are themselves eaten by small cods and longspined bullhead (taurulus bubalis). They have a very nice life style because the main focus of their life is to recuperate! You can find them everywhere in Saltstraumen but this pictures are mainly taken in Oksebåsen.Camera: Nikon D700, lenses 60 and 105 mm macro, two flashes.
